Do you feel overwhelmed with the whole process of sourdough bread making?
Do you wish to understand the "secret" language between bakers?
Do you wish to bake bread from the best ingredients and don't be dependent on store-bought bread with all the additives?
I am happy to be your guide on the sourdough bread journey and show you some tricks and tips on how to be successful and how to incorporate bread baking into your daily life, so you don't have to be dependent on the bread from the store.
Who is going to take you on this journey?
My name is Kamila, and my passion is everything I can create in the kitchen. I didn't step too far away from my parent's profession. I grew up in a family that owned a restaurant, and my studies continued to focus on hospitality and gastronomy in my high school and university.
As a Czech, I was taught by my mum and grandma that homemade food is standard, and I took it with me to life. When I started to travel, I missed Czech bread and began to make yeast bread.
As I always try to eat healthily, the natural next step was making sourdough bread.
I wasn't successful from the beginning, and a few times, I thought I shouldn't go back to yeast, but my desire to succeed pushed me not to give up. When I succeed, I wanted to know more and understand the process better and that holds me until today.
My goal is to find a balance in how to make good bread but not be stuck at home because of the bread and be able to do hobbies and go outside to nature while the bread is proofing at home.
My promise
Sourdough bread baking is a process you have to get used to. It is a journey where you must identify how your flour with the water and starter behaves.
I don't promise you that your first bread will be perfect and that you don't need to improve. But I promise you that I will help you to minimize the errors, I will clean the path from the thorns and make it as easy as possible.
I will show you the love for bread which give us the option to be present in the moment, cheer up the woman inside, and find pleasure in a small daily thing like the smell of freshly baked bread at your home or when your family members sneak to the kitchen to cut down one more slice.
